Monographs
The CEU Library presently holds 168,000 catalogued items, and approximately 15,000 volumes of monographs are awaiting cataloguing.
The average growth of the holdings is 8,000 volumes per year. Besides purchases, the Library has grown through private donations and library merges.
The monographs are classified and arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System and, in the case of Reference, Legal and Environmental materials, according to the Library of Congress Classification System. All items are searchable through the CEU Library's OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). One copy of each title of most of the monographs is located in the Open Access Area. Duplicate volumes are placed in the stacks. To request these, Members are asked to fill out a Stack Request Form, which is available at the Circulation Desk
